Legacy gifts sample of standard language that could be used:
“I give, devise and bequeath to L’Arche Wavecrest, a California public benefit corporation, the sum of $____ (or a description of a particular asset, in full or in part), for the benefit of L’Arche Wavecrest and its general purposes.”
Or more specifically, it may contain the following after the bracket above, “for the benefit of L’Arche Wavecrest to be used for the following purpose(s).” Here, the purpose may be spelled out, if so desired.
“If at any time it becomes impossible or impractical to carry out the designated purpose, the L’Arche Wavecrest Board of Directors shall determine an alternative purpose that is closest to the designated purpose.”
