Open Positions
We are continuously hiring for full and part-time positions, including Overnight Support just sleeping at the house and ready for the rare occurence of Core Members waking up or emergency situations.
House Leader – Abraham House
L’Arche Wavecrest House Leaders/Administrator-in-Training (AIT) are responsible for ensuring the rhythms and routines of the home they are in care of. With training and completion of Administrator Class and passing the Administrator Test, they become the “Backup Administrator.”
Carefully planned and thoroughly thought-out weeks are important so that proper delegation occurs for all the tasks and requests of the Core Members are fulfilled as best as possible. The House Leader works closely with their fellow Assistants to ensure that their home is welcoming, structured, clean, and filled with the vibrancy of relationships. The House Leader also ensures that all responsibilities that deal with paperwork for compliance with RCOC and Licensing regulations are fulfilled. The House Leader is the main point of contact for the families of the Core Members of the household they are leading.

Live-Out Assistant
We are seeking someone with a bachelor’s degree or at least four years of work experience and a valid driver’s license. Our Live- Out assistants play an integral role with Core Members by fostering a sense of belonging and togetherness. Through attentive care and support, you will play a key role in ensuring Core Member’s personal needs are met by assisting with medication and appointment management, transportation, planning activities, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and creating meaningful relationships with Core Members. All assistants will receive Direct Service Provider (DSP) certifications and training.

Overnight Assistant
The overnight support role is focused on providing dedicated care and support during overnight hours. We are seeking someone 18 or over, with a valid driver’s license and separate room within the house will be provided for sleeping during the shift. The assistant assumes the responsibility of being the escalation point in the event of an emergency. Additional responsibilities could include monitoring the personal needs of the Core Members, medication administration, and ensuring Core Member well-being and safety throughout the night.
